Do you enjoy looking for a new job? I don’t think so. Applying for jobs can be time-consuming, boring, and sometimes even a depressing task. In three episodes of “Gentleman Lars,” you can listen to what I do to find a new job. I will tell you about my mistakes as well as my progress.
In “Gentleman Lars,” I’m the guinea pig. Interviewing is something I enjoy. Until now, I have interviewed interesting people, as most of us journalists do. I have conducted research and then written articles and produced podcast episodes about the person I have interviewed and the topic. As a person, my opinions and feelings are not what I have reported about. In “Gentleman Lars,” it is the other way around; I am the guinea pig. I’m not trying to hide my frustrations or how I try to deal with them in this podcast. Another important point is that I get advice from great people within the job-hunting field.
You will hear me get advice from Abigail Welshman, who is a psychotherapist. My former colleague, Charlotte Bohrn, explains how “we” are applying for a job as a team. I hope this podcast is useful to you in helping you find your dream job!
