To me it was a surprise to hear how Tony Cragg became a sculptor. His steps to become a globaly appreciated artist actually started with him being bored in a laboratory and because of that he began doodling. One thing led to another after that: he went on to art school, got the opportunity to move to France and he finally settled in Germany where he has lived since many years. As a Swede, I was also surprised that he and his family has a summer residency on the Swedish island Tjörn. This inteveiw was made in his summer house on Tjörn.
The first out of two interviewes with Tony Cragg for the podcast Gentleman Lars covers several topics conected to the art of Tony Cragg: from his views on materials to his views on religion.
